Kampala- Jinja
After breakfast, we drive east towards Jinja district with a stop over at Sezibwa falls and Mabira forest; we proceed to Jinja to the source of the Nile. Lunch at Jinja Nile Resort. We visit Bujagali falls. We head for our rafting starting point, rafting will last upto 06:00pm
Later in the evening, we drive back to Kampala with the memory of the great Nile River.
Kampala - Entebbe
After breakfast, we drive to Entebbe to take our boat to Ngamba Chimp Island. It was set up by a group of concerned organizations including Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in order to offer a facility for orphaned chimpanzees where they can co-habitat in a near natural environment.
These 33 lucky Chimpanzees were saved from being destined for life as a pet or in a lab in the west.
They were all confiscated by authorities and brought to the sanctuary for care and rehabilitation. The beautifully forested tropical island is almost 100 acres in size and boasts over 50 different types of vegetation that the chimps utilize.
We return to the mainland later in the afternoon to relax for the evening.
