Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP)

Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) is located in the south western part of Uganda. Its nearest town is Kasese. The park has a size of 1,978 sq kms.
The vegetation is savannah to rain forests with dense papyrus swamps. QENP is famous for its biodiversity score in the game reserves. With more than 100 mammals and 606 bird species QENP becomes a place for nature lovers. In addition to the above are crater lakes, the salt lakes of Lake Katwe, Lake Edward and the wonder Kazinga channel.

Game drives.
A lot of biodiversity in wildlife is how one can fully call Queen Elizabeth National park. There are lions, chimpanzees, bush bucks, bush pigs, water bucks, and abundance of Uganda Kobs, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, leopards, elephants and zebras.


Chimp tracking.

Chimp tracking in QENP is done at Kaniyo Pabidi eco-tourism site within the woodland of Budongo forest.

Guided walks.
Guided nature walks can be very interesting, sunrise throughout the day to the sunset and the shadows of Rwenzori Mountain makes the whole walk exciting.

Bird watching.
The vastness of QENP with birds ranging from 606 bird species makes bird watching in QENP marvelous.
