7 day Birding Tour

DAY ONE
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, transfer to your Hotel.

DAY TWO
Whole day birding around Entebbe area, the Botanical Gardens for the Orange weaver, a variety of Sunbirds, Weavers, some water birds, if time allows visit Lutembe bay which is one of the most important migratory stopover sites in the Lake Victoria basin and a major roost site for many species, including large congregations of migrant waders, Black Herons and a variety of Terns, Gulls and other water birds (this depends on the season).

DAY THREE
Morning drive to Mabamba swamp for the Shoebill Stork, migrant Blue Swallow, Gull-billed Terns, White-winged Black Terns, Whiskered Terns, and Grey-headed Gulls. Other interesting species include Goliath Herons, Spur-winged and Pygmy Geese, and a number of migratory waders.
Five Lake Victoria Biome species and other water birds have also been recorded here after which drive to Lake Mburo Lunch and birding reroute e.g. at Kaaku swamp for the Rufous-bellied Heron, Lesser Jacana, Lesser Moorhen and a variety of water birds.

DAY FOUR
Morning birding and mammal watching, bird the grassland for the Brown-chested Plover (this is there between June and December), Red-faced Barbet, here we shall have the chance to see the Zebra, Eland, Topis, Impalas and some other game, afternoon go for a boat ride in search for the African Fin foot, African Darter, Hamerkop, African Water Rail, Spur-winged Plover, Giant, Pied and Malachite Kingfishers, and Yellow- throated Leaflove.

DAY FIVE
Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, arriving for an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel we shall see schools of Hippos, Crocodiles, and water birds like the African Spoonbill, Caspian Plovers, Avocets Recurvirostra, Gull billed Tern, Lesser Black backed Gull, African Fish Eagle, the Martial Eagle, African skimmer (seasonal) and many others.

DAY SIX
Morning game drive Kasenyi track in search for Savanna birds like the Temminck’s Courser, Martial Eagle, Rupell’s Griffon Vulture and many others afternoon bird the crater area.

DAY SEVEN
After breakfast drive back to Entebbe for your Flight, end of services.Included in this itinerary: accommodation on full board basis, park entrance fees, boat cruises, vehicle hire with fuel and driver guide, ranger guides fees and guided nature walks.
