20 Days Around Uganda


DAY 1 - Arrival

Arrive at Entebbe Airport, met by our company representative, and transferred to any hotel in Kampala for overnight and Dinner.

DAY 2 - Murchison falls
Morning pick up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala start 4-5 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park lunch at Masindi Hotel. Transfer to the magnificent of the falls where you will marvel at the mighty Nile. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp.

DAY 3 - Murchison falls
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a half-day game drive on the northern banks of the River Nile escorted by a game ranger. You may opt for a game walk while trailing animals and studying animal's spoors. Game in this area include; Giraffe, Elephant, Hartebeests, Lion, Uganda kob, Oribi and a variety of Savannah and woodland birds. After lunch, take a Nile cruise for game viewing at close quarters; this is a paradise of the Hippos and Crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli camp.

Day 4 - Murchison
Breakfast early then transfer to Budongo forest for a Primate walk in search of primates. On the walk you may see Black and White colobus Monkey, Red tailed Monkey, Baboon, Grey cheeked Mangabay's or the Chimpanzees, have a picnic lunch, and afternoon nature guided walk in the park. Overnight and Dinner at Red Chilli camp.

Day 5 - Murchison falls national park - fort portal

Transfer to Fort Portal; visit the hot springs in Bwamba forest and the pygmies. Have a picnic lunch. Overnight and dinner at Rwenzori view guesthouse

Day 6 - Kibale forest national park

Breakfast early, then start your early morning Chimp trekking expedition together with forest ranger guides, you will search for Chimpanzees, Black and White Colobus monkey, Grey cheeked Mangabay's. Have lunch and visit Bigodi Sanctuary for birds and many species in the afternoon, enjoy traditional dances in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Rwenzori View Guesthouse.

Day 7 - Queen Elizabeth national park

Morning visit to the crater lakes region as you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with picnic lunch. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth for an afternoon boat launch in Kazinga channel, a place believed to host the largest concentration of hippos in Africa. Expect to see buffalos, many water birds, and wild animal over land and also herds of different animals that come to drink water by the stream. Dinner and Overnight at institute of ecology

Day 8 - Queen Elizabeth

After breakfast, we hike into the gorge of the Kyambura River for another but different experience with the Chimps. It's a rewarding experience not only to see the Chimpanzees but also to see the beautiful river valley home of many bird species. Kyambura Gorge is a natural home for habituated chimpanzees; this area also supports mammals similar to the park but also three saline crater lakes, which attract large numbers of Flamingos.
Have lunch at the Park and an afternoon walk to a very big and thick Maramagambo forest, check out for the Rock Pythons, Visit the Bat Cave, expect to see many birds, butterflies, and all forest dwellers. Return this evening for dinner and overnight at the institute of ecology.

Day 9 Queen Elizabeth national park

Early morning game drive to the south of the park with picnic lunch through a game drives in the famous Ishasha sector with tree climbing lions! Expect a rewarding experience ever to see tree-climbing lions! All day dedicated for wild - game searching and return to the Institute of Ecology for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 -Queen - Bwindi
Have an early morning game drive in search of different game in the park, as you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Park for the long waited trekking. Lunch enroute and dinner plus overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 11 - Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Morning Breakfast and packed lunch, then Briefing at 08:00 hours before entrance to the Gorilla sanctuary. The gorilla excursion can take 4-8 hours expect to walk a long distance.
For conservation purposes, time spent with the Gorillas is limited to one hour a ranger guide will brief you on how to behave with the Gorillas. Return for Evening, Dinner and overnight at the camp

DAY 12-Bwindi - Lake Bunyonyi overland camp
Morning Breakfast, then transfer to Bunyonyi overland campsite, as you travel through out, watch out the rolling hills of Uganda, 'termed as the little Switzerland of Uganda', expect to see a beautiful climate with nice vegetation and farms on hills! Arrive at the overland camp of Lake Bunyonyi 'termed as the lake of Birds' and also known as one of the deepest lakes in Africa! Bird around, on option you can have traditional dances by the local people or have evening walks.
Overnight and Dinner at the Overland Camp.

DAY 13 -Lake Bunyonyi - Lake Mburo national park

Have Breakfast, and a morning canoe drive at Lake Bunyonyi before proceeding for Lake Mburo National Park. Have lunch in Mbarara, transfer to Lake Mburo for the evening boat launch in Lake Mburo, in search for the African Finfoot one of the big five birds in Uganda.
And other species like the Papyrus Gonolek, White winged warbler etc. Have Dinner and Overnight at Rwonyo Camp.

DAY 14 - Lake Mburo
Early morning game drives this morning lookout for Zebra's, Impalas, Uganda Kob, Elands, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Oribi, Klip springer etc. Return to lunch in the afternoon nature walk till evening, return for dinner and overnight at the Camp.

DAY 15- Lake Mburo - Ssese islands hornbill

After a relaxed Breakfast, pack your bags heading for Ssese Islands. A very beautiful place, silent with a variety of natural landforms and species. These islands are found on Lake Victoria the largest lake in Africa and second largest in the world! Arrive at Bukakata landing site for the Ferry to Ssese Island at 15:00 hrs.
Drive to Ssese Island Hornbill Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 16- Ssese Island hornbill
After Break fast, have a morning-guided nature-walk; expect to see a lot of vegetation, monkeys, Beautiful singing birds, many water birds and the ladybird! Return for lunch and in the afternoon visit the Old palm tree farm, the Bat cave, and many old monuments. Return at the island for spot fishing, sunbathing and swimming. Dinner and overnight at the Hornbill Camp.

DAY 17 - Ssese island - Kampala
Early Breakfast, then head for the Morning Ferry to cross over to Bukakata, head for Kampala with lunch enroute and a stop - over at the equator for some shots and shopping in the craft villages. Arrive late afternoon in Kampala if possible visit the Kasubi Tombs (Cultural place for the burial of kings) very interesting place to see, have dinner and overnight at a Guest House.

DAY 18- Ngamba Island or White Water Rafting
Early breakfast, then choose on two OPTIONS:
- Head for whole day White Water Rafting on the longest river (Nile) very adventurous and exciting too!
- Head Ngamba Island (a chimpanzee sanctuary) with the whole day chimpanzee trekking
Return for Dinner and Overnight at a Guest House if near Kampala or at Jinja if you go rafting.

DAY 19 -Mabamba Swamps
After Breakfast, go for a birding safari in search of the shoebill storks and other rear species, you can also visit the heritage sites in Kampala like the Museum, Shrines and Historical Churches. Dinner and overnight in Kampala.

DAY 20- Kampala - Entebbe

Depending on the time of the flight, shop in the morning and then transfer to the airport for the flight back home. You will be dropped off at the Airport by our company representative and seen off.
