10 DAYS ITINERARY

Day 1

At Entebbe International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will facilitate arrival formalities. After a short transfer to your hotel you will be briefed about your safari.
Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Africana, Kampala.

Day 2

Have breakfast; proceed to Fort Portal via Mubende. Have a stop over at Nakayima Shrine, a splendid tree known to be 400 years old, worshipped by local people and thought to be holding the spirit of an ancient king.
Have lunch at Fort Motel. In the afternoon visit the Omukama (king) of Toro's palace, ancient building. Visit the locally worshipped hot springs and see ancient land form features and caves in Fort Portal.
Dinner and Overnight at Rwenzori view guesthouse.

Day 3

After breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park, passing via the "Mountains of The Moon" for most of the journey. A game drive en-route may be rewarded by seeing a lot of wild animals such as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena and variety of antelope species.
After lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, view the solitary Buffalo, Hippos and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. Depending on the season, European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks.

Day 4

Have early breakfast then proceed to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk in search for the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. This gorge is 16 km long on the Rift Valley and 100 meter deep. The rangers will provide you with a walking stick for this spectacular trekking.
Lunch en route as we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Pass through Ishasha sector where you are likely to see the tree climbing lions. For the rest of the journey, view the long horned Ankole cattle, papyrus, acacia woodland and terraced landscape of Kigezi highlands.

Day 5

After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, we set off for the gorilla tracking in the forest sanctuary. The activity starts at 8.00am. We carry packed lunch, drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide a walking stick.
The time taken to find the gorillas varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. An encounter with an earth shaking 350 pound silver back or a baby gorilla is very exciting and never forgotten experience! Watch and photograph them as they interact.

Day 6

Have early breakfast, Leave for Kisoro with packed lunch, stopping at Kanaba Gap to view the spectacular Virunga volcanoes and stunning terraced hills. Visit the natural, beautiful-looking Lake Mutanda, surrounded by the volcanoes, take a walk on the shores or continue directly to Mgahinga.
Dinner and Overnight at Gahinga Lodge.

Day 7

Have breakfast, Visit the local Batwa pygmies and see their cultures. Lunch enroute as we transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an exciting afternoon boat trip. In the evening game drive where you will view beautiful stripped zebras, Impalas and other animals.

Day 8

Early morning game drive in the park, return for breakfast then drive to Kampala with a Stop at the Equator a famous spot for photography. Have lunch at Hotel Bravad. Stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generation.

Day 9

Have breakfast, drive eastward to Jinja, via Mukono. Visit Sezzibwa Falls, the twin falls that are believed to have been "produced" by an ancient woman. You can have an opportunity to visit the traditional healers. Proceed to Jinja via the Owen Falls Dam, Uganda's largest dam.
Visit the Source of the Mighty River Nile. Have lunch at Jinja Nile Resort then head for a cultural tour to Bujagali Falls on the other end of the Nile. Return to Kampala late afternoon. Visit the theatre to enjoy a local play/dance (subject to availability).
Dinner and overnight at Africana Hotel.

Day 10

Have breakfast; depending on your flight, we may opt for Kampala City Tour. This will include the visit to the Parliament, the museum Namugongo Martyrs' Shrine where some 22 Christian converts were burnt at the stake in the 19th century, Bahai Temple which is the only one in Africa and see the cultures of Buganda and that is to say the lifestyle of their ancient kings; visit Naggalabi ancient Kings' Coronation ground, Kasubi Royal Tombs, buy art crafts. Enjoy the traditional Ugandan local foods.
Later you will be transferred to the Airport by our representative.
